A player has four stats that may be raised by increasing the level of masteries: Strength (STR), Dexterity (DEX), Constitution (CON), and Intelligence (INT). Most masteries will increase a primary stat by 1 point for each mastery level, and raise a secondary stat by 1 point every 4 levels. For some masteries, both the secondary and primary stat for a mastery will be the same, meaning that the player will gain 2 points in a stat at every fourth mastery level.
Strength (STR) determines a player's ability to deal damage when attacking with melee weapons.
Dexterity (DEX) determines a player's ability to dodge attacks, as well as increases a player's stamina capacity. (Ability to Dodge attacks not yet implemented)
Dexterity has a 1:1 ratio with the rate at which a critical strike will occur, so increasing it will allow a character to perform a critical strike more often.
Constitution (CON) determines a player's maximum health capacity.
Intelligence (INT) determine's a player's magic ability. (Magic abilties/ability to level INT not yet implemented)
Status Effects is a temporary modification to a Player’s original set of stats. These effects may be activated when special powers and abilities (such as magic) are activated, often during combat. Currently the means of obtaining a status effect are through weapon abilities or consumables/foods from cooking.
